Service Dog Benefit Sunday at Sliders

Service Dog Benefit Sunday at SlidersYou may have read an article about a young man named Jakob Yasho in the News-Leader in November.

This was a very touching story about the disease, Asperger’s, and a creative solution provided by the use of service dogs that are raised and trained by Project Chance. Project Chance is a local nonprofit agency that has teamed up with Sliders to raise funds that will help Jakob’s family bring home one of these very special dogs.

The fun begins Sunday, December 16, 4:00 PM at Sliders. Entertainment is provided by Band on the Run until 5:00 and then the Honey Badgers take the Tiki Bar stage. At 6:00 PM Aaron Bean will begin calling the live auction of incredible prizes, including a one week stay in a Daytona Beach condominium.

There will be plenty of great auction items and raffle prizes, and it is never too late to make a donation. Even First Federal Bank has gotten involved and will be making a cash donation towards their goal of raising $8000 for Campbell.

You may want to take a few minutes to stop by Sunday and say, “Hello” to your friends attending this heart warming fundraiser. You may even want to try your luck with a raffle ticket!
