The food at the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is incredibly good, everyone knows that, but did you realize that all of the food booths at the Shrimp Festival are organized and run by non-profit civic groups within our own Nassau County?

This is the biggest fund raiser of the year for practically every fund raising group in town. So when you think you may be paying too much for your lunch, take a deep breath and remember it is all for a great cause.
