Songs on a Summer NightMouth of Amelia has invited us all to attend Songs on a Summer Night, Un Voyage Musical Francais III, as presented by the 2012 Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival.

WHEN: Friday, May 25th at 7:30 PM

WHERE: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2600 Atlantic Avenue, in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

WHAT: If you are waiting for a concert with a vocalist as well as instrumentalists, this one is for you! The concert will include music of Berlioz, Debussy, and Franck.

WHO: Robert Spano, piano; Jessica Rivera, soprano; David Coucheron, violin; Ellen DePasquale, violin; James Dunham, viola; Christopher Rex, cello.

JESSICA RIVERA is quickly establishing herself as one of the most creatively inspired vocal artists before the public today. The intelligence, dimension, and spirituality that she infuses in her performances on international concert and opera stages have garnered Rivera unique artistic collaborations with many of today’s most celebrated composers, including John Adams, Osvaldo Golijov, and Nico Muhly, and has brought her together in collaboration with such esteemed conductors as Bernard Haitink, Sir Simon Rattle, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Robert Spano, and Michael Tilson Thomas.
