All applicants for a Specialty Trade Contractor license in Nassau County will be required to pass a written test.

Specialty Trade Testing in Nassau CountyAs of February 2, 2015, according to an email I received from the Nassau County, Florida website, all applicants for a Specialty Trade Contractor license will be required to pass a written examination as indicated in Sec. 7-112- Certification of the Nassau County Regulation of Contractors Ordinance.

Following the submittal of a completed application to Nassau County licensing staff, those who can qualify following verification of time, experience and supervisory capacity will be required to take and pass by a score of 75% or better an examination as required by ordinance. There are three testing agencies available Prometric Testing, GITS Testing and ProV Testing.

Nassau County can provide details of where these agencies are located upon request.

Current specialty license holders will not be required to take an exam.
