Arts and Farmers Market Open August 22nd in Downtown FernandinaThe Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market and the Fernandina Beach Arts Market will both be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

Bruce Beville and the Laid Back Band will be providing live background music while you peruse a plethora of exhibitors including painters, potters, popular produce and pasta makers.

Over 30 booths are scheduled to line North Seventh Street in historic Fernandina Beach and they will be full of fresh baked pastries and breads, seasonal produce, honey, salmon, shrimp, eggs, beef, cheese, dog treats, specialty foods, jams, jellies and more. Along with all of your favorite weekly vendors, returning to the farmers market this week are Veggie Confetti, Rose’s Vietnamese Eggrolls, Hope Floats, Blue Planet, and Me, Myself and Pies.

The Arts Market, located adjacent to the farmers market, will feature artisan vendors showcasing their hand made wood furniture, pottery, crafts, apparel, jewelry and more. Talk to the vendors and find out where they get their inspiration for your favorite pieces.

Located on North Seventh Street, between Alachua and Centre Streets, the farmers market is open rain or shine, year ’round. Both markets are open from 9:00 to 1:00 pm.

Arts Market Open May 9th in Fernandina BeachThe Fernandina Beach Arts Market returns on May 9, 2015. Located adjacent to the downtown farmers market, the Arts Market features local artists and craftsman display their incredible talents.

Just in time for Mother’s Day shopping, you will find incredible pet accessories from Pawsitively Purrfect Pets, paintings, pillows and pictures.

There are key chains, fine jewelry and whimsical pieces, too. Also coming to the market are booths of stained glass, three-way aprons, wood furniture, Riplaces and more.

Kangee Graham will have a table full of her oyster shell centerpieces and hand-crafted wooden bowls, and John Mateer will be showing off his latest designs in glass fusion.

There is so much to see you won’t have any trouble finding that perfect gift for Mom.

The Arts Market is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in downtown Fernandina Beach.

Meet Jewel, one of our new vendors who makes concrete waterfall and bird baths. Jewel’s Leaves uses a real split-leaf philodendron to produce the mold.

People’s Leather is owned by local artists Byron and Shirley Raper. Their high quality leather wallets, bags, key fobs and gifts are made to last and they stand behind all of their products. They also do leather repairs. With the holiday shopping season soon upon us, now is the time to start thinking about your special order gifts that may require personalization, too.

Jake and Sarah Harlow don’t miss a Saturday in downtown Fernandina and they bring their full line of spa, beauty and personal care, all natural products to the Arts Market on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Jake studied natural science at UNF and holds a BS in bio-chemistry which comes in handy when creating new products and understanding the effects of ingredients and if they could be hormone or endocrine disrupters. People who are interested in healthy living seek body products made with natural ingredients. Harlow’s two biggest summertime sellers are their deodorant and bug spray. Made from coconut oil, beeswax, baking soda, zinc oxide and essential oils, their deodorants come in four different scents and contains no aluminum or parabens. Harlow’s All Natural Bug Spray contains no harsh chemicals, just distilled water, lemongrass, cypress, cedar and eucalyptus essential oils. This particular scent was created by them to keep bugs and pests at bay.

Jill brings her unique purses and pillows to the market from a wide variety of popular styles including modern maritime motifs, your favorite sports-team colors, and 2014’s popular trend towards chameleon decor where you can easily change the look of a room using big-impact accent pillows.

If you are looking for something a little more personal then The Mermaid’s Walk jewelry booth is a must-see. Carrying custom jewelry, glass art, beads and sterling silver charms these artists specialize in metalworking and creating one-of-a-kind pieces.

Fernandina Beach Arts Market Open April 12, 2014The Fernandina Beach Arts Market is now open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month in historic Fernandina Beach.

Open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Arts Market provides a place for your talented neighbors, friends and family members to sell their handcrafted items, including fine jewelry and exquisite art.

“Re-cycle, re-purpose and re-use” is a chant heard around the Arts Market with vendors like Fun Gems, who makes unique jewelry pieces from the pull tabs of aluminum cans. Fernandina Finds turns thrown out window panels into creative works of art, and Beeing Crafty makes lovely hanging candle holders from recycled wine bottles.

Beautiful purses, pillows, plastic bag holders, dog collars and leashes, table runners and golf seat covers make wonderful gifts, and they are beautifully designed by creative exhibitors like Jillows, Finishing Touches, Mary Ann Bator-Gray, and Pawsitively Purrfect Pet Accessories.

Knitted collars, beach cover-ups and scarves are created by hand by Knit 1 Merle 2 and Sonia C Designs, and after requesting special orders from each of these lovely ladies, I have only rave reviews!

Located adjacent to the North 7th Street Fernandina Beach Market Place farmer’s market, entertainment for both markets will be provided by local and very talented musician, Jennifer Burns.

Open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, you can find us between N. 7th and 8th Streets in historic, Fernandina Beach, next door to the downtown farmers market.

Local artists show off their crafts at this wonderful, outdoor Arts Market. Come see what your neighbors are creating with their talents in fine jewelry making, hand crafted furniture, stained glass, pillows, purses, tie dyed apparel and other custom designed fabrics. You will find pet treats, dishes and accessories, as well as home made soaps and candles, photography, framed art, note cards and so much more.

Unique vendors attending on March 22, 2014, include Riplaces, a shoelace alternative that permits you to say, “No to the bow.” Assorted elastic straps and ornamental stops hold your sneakers and other lace up shoes firmly in place. If you have an active lifestyle, or have trouble tying your shoes, this booth is a must see!

John Mateer is a local artist who specializes in glass fusion art. Using creative painting techniques and melting glass in a kiln under extreme temperatures lets him create individual works of art, recycled from used glass that are made into spoon rests, serving dishes, bowls, jewelry and more.

Another popular exhibitor is a wood crafter who designs lovely outdoor furniture pieces painted with decorative wildlife scenes or vivid colors. You will also find creative frames surrounded in seashells and other natural products. Every piece is a unique work of art that will start conversations in your home for years to come.

Arts Market Open September 8, 2013The Fernandina Beach Arts Market will be open, Sunday, September 8, 2013, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the corner of 14th and Lime Streets, near the local movie theater on Amelia Island.

The Arts Market is a farmers’ market with arts and crafts, too. Come meet your neighbors as they show off their talents. You’ll find Jacqueline’s old fashioned, home made, sour cream pound cake, art, apparel, puppy accessories, hand made jewelry, dog treats, live music and much more.

Local to Fernandina Beach, Harlow’s All Natural Products include vegan, organic and all natural home and personal care products made with essential oils, butters, salts, sugars, waxes and other natural ingredients. Come check out their natural deodorants, soaps, lip and body balms, bath fizzes and scrubs, oil sprays and more.

Also a familiar face around Amelia Island is Jill Patten. Jill makes decorative pillows and custom art work and can now be found at the Fernandina Beach Arts Market, too.

The Arts Market has plenty of room for new vendors as well as local musicians who want to share their talent with our friendly community.

Fernandina Beach Arts Market to Open Sunday

Fernandina Beach Arts Market to Open SundayAfter postponing the original date of the new Fernandina Beach Arts Market’s Grand Opening Celebration, due to a slight threat from an unpredictable tropical storm named Chantel, the new farmers market that features arts and crafts booths, too, will be opening Sunday, July 28, 2013.

Open every other Sunday, each market will highlight special entertainment and seasonal attractions. This new arts, crafts and farmers’ market gives local artisans a place to show off their hand crafted talents and homemade specialty items. Farmers and bakers will bring fresh grown produce, homemade delicacies and tasty baked goods, too.

You are invited to meet Joel from Fernandina Beach Tie Dyed Threads, or Ms. Wiggins who is bringing her homemade cakes and cupcakes. There will be stained glass stepping stones, Appalachian bread knives, head-wear, purses, apparel, jewelry, ornaments, garden starts arranged in vases, all natural soap, leather products, and many other unique items.

Boatright Farms will provide a fresh selection of seasonal produce and herbs. Enjoy a fresh squeezed limeade, or sample a taste of floral Florida honeys. There will be skin care products and all natural dog treats from Taylor’s Treats; and a recognized name around Amelia Island’s farmers’ markets, Blue Planet, will be there, too.

Open year ’round, the Arts Market will be held every other Sunday, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM and is located at the corner of 14th and Lime Streets in Fernandina Beach. (Near the movie theater on Amelia Island in the lot that sells seasonal pumpkins and Christmas trees in the fall.)
