Thoughts by Blues Festival Emcee, Roger “Hurricane” Wilson
Written by: Roger “Hurricane” Wilson
This is going to be fun this week at the Amelia Island Blues Festival. Check out Roger “Hurricane” Wilson performing Minnie the Moocher with the Fernandina Beach High School Jazz Band. They take the stage at Noon on Saturday!
This is also a bittersweet anniversary commemorating the death of Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, 1 year ago this weekend, the same day he was supposed to have headlined this festival.
“We miss Willie dearly!”
The new CD, Live Blues Protected by Smith & Wilson, featuring the Late Grammy Winner, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith & Roger “Hurricane” Wilson, recorded live in Harrisburg, PA, is here!
You can also order your copy now along with a color photo of that performance for $20.00 via Paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org.

This is not just another CD, but an actual piece of Blues music history. We hope you will join us to pay tribute to a great Bluesman, the late Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, and to keep his legacy and the Blues alive.
