You can now search for volunteer opportunities on Nassau County citizens advisory boards and committees through their website.
Nassau County has recently annouced that citizens can now search for volunteer opportunities and vacancies on Nassau County Advisory Boards and Committees through their website.
From the home page, go to “Your Government” and choose “Boards, Commissions, and Committees” from the drop down menu. (Or try this link instead: www.nassaucountyfl.com/index.aspx?nid=217) There you will find a list of all Committees and Advisory Groups that are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. You can click on each individual committee name to find out more info such as the committee’s purpose, when they meet, member names, and a myriad of other information that can help you determine whether or not you are interesting in serving on that particular committee.
You will also find contact information to call for any questions you may have regarding the committee, as well as an e-mail address to send your resume to.
Nassau County recognizes that citizen advisory board and committees are an integral part of the governmental process. Volunteers provide the Board of County Commissioners with valuable insight and are greatly appreciated. We look forward to establishing relationships with new volunteers in the future.
