Waxhead Energy Bars

Waxhead Energy BarsFernandina Beach, FL – Waxhead, a Fernandina Beach start-up company, announced the launch of its line of energy bars that help protect skin from the sun. Made of all-natural whole foods, Waxhead bars deliver vitamins and nutrients that increase the body’s ability to remove free radicals and improve skin function.

“As Floridians, we play in the sun constantly, which puts a lot of stress on our skin,” says Waxhead co-founder Shannon Kenner. “Our products don’t take the place of sunscreen, but they are another great tool to help reduce sunburn and long term sun damage.

Among a myriad of other energy, granola and snack bars on the market, Waxhead products are the first to take such an approach, with each bar delivering 500% of the recommended daily value of Vitamins C and E, along with a proprietary blend of nutrients and antioxidants. Average adults can get optimal levels of sun protection by eating two bars during the day, and kids can gain that benefit from one bar.

Shannon and his Waxhead team are eager to tell others, “Our bars are an evolution in how active people can support their sun-centered lifestyles. We’re excited to start right here on Amelia Island, then spread the word throughout Florida and beyond.”

Waxhead bars are handmade in the US, gluten-free and without any preservatives or trans-fats. Waxhead currently sells four varieties of energy bars. Each case contains 12 bars and costs $27.00.
