The Nassau Humane society is holding a book, CD, plant and art sale called the Paw Prints Book Sale in August and they need your donations. Drop off your books, CDs, DVDs, plants and other items at the Humane Society located at the our Municipal Airport, 671 Airport Road on Amelia Island.
Tuesday is Kids Kayak Day with Kayak Amelia. This class is limited to the number of students so call them today to make your reservation.
If you haven’t gone on the pub crawl with the Amelia Island Museum of History, you should check that out on Thursday evening.
The ALS Amelia Island Golf Classic is a fund raiser for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This golf tournament is being held at the Long Pont Golf Club on Amelia Island on Friday, July 31 with registration at 10:00 AM. This is an awesome fundraiser to help find a cure for this devastating disease. Come on out and play on one of the finest gold courses in Florida, for a great cause!
Six Dance Lessons in Six Days continues at the Amelia Community Theatre and the ballad duo Evolution is playing on the deck at Sandy Bottoms on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The first weekend of August, Saturday and Sunday, brings the Union Garrison Weekend at Fort Clinch State Park where re-enactors are stuck in the 1800’s and you can witness what life for a soldier back then must have been like.
Sunday afternoon, the rocking trio Blistur returns to Wicked Daveys on 2nd street in Fernandina Beach at 4:00 PM.
