Whimsical Reindeer Run Half Marathon and 5K

There will be musical Christmas entertainment on the route, and a Kids Zone with free arts and crafts and bounces houses.

The Whimsical Reindeer Run Half Marathon and 5K, Kids 1 mile, 1/2 mile and 100yd dash is a selection of fun races and activities for the entire family.

There will be musical Christmas entertainment on the route, and a Kids Zone with free arts and crafts and bounces houses. For the adults there will be a Beer Garden, and there will be Chocolate milk and holiday cookies and treats for all participants.

The half marathon starts at Main beach park goes north through a residential area and returns to Main Beach, then into Fort Clinch, down to historic Fernandina Beach, and back through the Fort with the finish on the beach.

The 5K route is the same route going through the residential area.

Half Marathon/5K Awards: Overall and age group

There will be a special reindeer bib lottery, a Christmas costume contest, and a new hoofs drawing (shoes).

A unique medal will be awarded to all half marathon finishers.

Walkers are welcome and must complete the course in 3.5 hours.

Official race rules: No headphones, animals with the exception of service animals, bicycles, or strollers on course.

Tech T-shirts for half marathoners/cotton shirts for 5K runners. No shirts for kids races. $5 registration fee for kids runs or instead, bring an unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots!

Kids Awards and Activities: 1 and 1/2-mile fun runs (12 and under) with Santa along with a tiny reindeer run 100 yard dash (1 to 4 years). Prizes to all finishers. Best Christmas costume.
