Wings 'n Wheels at Craig Airport in JacksonvilleRecent Fernandina discussions have included adding a festival to our local airport. If that sounds interesting to you, then you may want to attend Wings ‘n Wheels at JaxEx (A/K/A Craig Airport) in Jacksonville, Florida.

From 10:00 to 4:00 PM, on St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport (JAXEX) and Chapter 193 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will host the second annual Wings ‘N’ Wheels event on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

This free, family-friendly event is for aviation and car enthusiasts of all ages, and the event is ADA compliant.

    -Kids’ Zone
    -Live Entertainment
    -Foreign Objects (FOD) Walk on the runway prior to event
    -Food & More

Organizer Jack Tyler said, “I’ll just add that the variety of food vendors is pretty extensive, the flight line is greaty expanded with exhibited aircraft than last year, and there will be a wide variety of restored, exotic and specialty cars because the judging contest is expected to be quite competitive again this year. Also, the rain date is the following Saturday, September 15th.”
