2012 Friends of the Library Book Sale Fernandina Beach, FL – One of the most eagerly anticipated weekends for book lovers of all ages is coming up soon, and Friends of the Library volunteers are already accepting book donations to make it the biggest, most successful sale ever.

Thousands of books donated by local readers will be sold at bargain basement prices November 2 – 4, at the Peck Center to support library operations and programming.

“We eagerly accept just about all types and urge everyone to drop off their donations soon so we can sort, alphabetize and showcase them properly during the sale,” says Bruce Morrison, book sale chairman.

The sale will feature a broad assortment of fiction and non-fiction books in dozens of categories as well as hundreds of CDs and DVDs.

Children’s books are always very popular and will be greatly appreciated.

If you have just a few items to donate, leave them in the teal colored collection box under the covered walkway in front of Peck Head Start at 511 S. 11th St.

A collection area for larger donations is in the Peck School at 516 South 10th Street.

Go in the front entrance (Fir Street between S. 10th and S. 11th Streets), turn right and look for the Friends of the Library sign on your left, next to the stairwell.

With most items are priced at $2.00 or less, past sales have generated approximately $15,000 annually in support of our Library.

For first choice among the thousands of volumes, plan to attend the Friends of the Library Members Only preview sale on Thursday, November 1 from 5 – 7pm. If you aren’t a member, you can join at the door.
