The pageant winner will be awarded a $1,000 Scholarship during the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival on Friday evening, May 4, 2012.
Fernandina Beach, FL – Contestant rehearsals for the Miss Shrimp Festival 2012 Scholarship Pageant, sponsored by the Hampton Inn & Suites, Amelia Island, “Historic Harbor Front Hotel,” will be held weekly, beginning with the organizational meeting and rehearsal on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Bean School of Dance, 25 North 3rd Street in Fernandina Beach. The pageant winner will be awarded a $1,000 Scholarship during the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival on Friday evening, May 4, 2012. The pageant is open to high school level juniors and seniors, attending public, private, alternative or home schools.Eligible participants must reside in Nassau County, but may attend high school in another county. The 4-part application packet may be downloaded from www.shrimpfestival.com. Contestants will be accepted until April 10, 2012.
