American Cancer Society to Host 2nd Annual Cattle Baron's Ball on Amelia Island
Nassau County, FL – The American Cancer Society, one of the nations leading non-profits for cancer awareness and finding a cure, will host their annual Cattle Barons Ball to benefit their local organization on Friday, April 5th from6:30pm to 10:30pm at Walker’s Landing.
This will be the American Cancer Society’s second annual gala in Nassau County. The evening will feature a live band and a live auction with Mike Mullin serving as auctioneer.
Ticket prices begin at $75 with a Table of Ten package at $750.
This includes a complimentary drink ticket and there will be a cash bar available.
Master of Ceremonies will be the Honorable Robert Foster. Host Committee for the event includes: Ross Germano, Jan Carver, Bob and Becky Joyce, Deb Adams, Betty Benson, Kim Bleicken, Jane Crews, Jamie Deonas, Valerie Faltemier, Holly Germano, Kathryn Herterich, Kim Holwell, Sue Koufakis, Donna McKeel, Terisia McKelvey, Carl Meaux, Llona Meaux, Karen Perdue, Rebecca Schaefer, Lauren Thompson, Candece Tierney, and Nathalie Wu.
“Over 6,000 people in our area are diagnosed with cancer every year,” said Jan Carver, event Vice-Chair. “This event will be a great opportunity to raise awareness and help fund the fight for a cure.” Local residents can benefit from the various support programs and networks provided by the organization. Much of their research has led to improved treatment options and new detection methods.
The American Cancer Society is the largest private source for cancer research funding in the nation, but as Carver mentions, “Volunteers and donors make the difference.”
