All God's Creatures Invited to WorshipFernandina Beach, Florida – Four legged friends, winged companions and creatures of all kinds are invited to join the worship service at New Vision Congregational Church on Sunday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. All pets are welcome, and bring your people too!

The blessing of the animals is a long-standing tradition that originated in the life of St. Francis of Assisi. The service of blessing celebrates animals as part of God’s expansive creation. This fun, outdoor worship service includes lively music and a blessing of each squirmy or wiggly animal present. A cookout will follow the service and children will enjoy making an animal craft. All pets are invited indoors in the event of rain.

All God's creatures are blessingsNew Vision Congregational Church believes that faith is a journey of exploration, not a destination. When we engage in worship that embraces our God-given creativity, we feel alive! And when we become a part of a community where love and laughter and a deep faith in God are rampant, we feel loved. “One way we love doing this is through enjoying all of God’s creatures as we offer them a special blessing,” says Rev. Mary Kendrick Moore, New Vision’s pastor.

New Vision, a member of the United Church of Christ, meets at 96074 Chester Road in Yulee. For information, visit www.NewVisionCongregationalChurch.org, find us on Facebook, or call Rev. Mary Kendrick Moore at (904)238-1822.
