Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an exciting afternoon performance by the University of North Florida Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Marc Dickman. Thursday, October 9, 2008: 7 – 10PM is ‚ÄúLatin Jazz‚Äù, a concert and dance at the Historic Palace Saloon featuring Impacto Latino, a hot 10-Piece Salsa Band in the style of “El Rey”, Tito Puente. Tickets are only $20.00 for an evening of fun and a cash bar is available.
Friday, October 10, 2008: 7 ‚Äì 10PM is the ‚ÄúJazz Concert ‚Äì Jazz and Soul‚Äù at a spectacular venue, the St. Peter‚Äôs Episcopal Church Courtyard at 8th Street and Atlantic. Come early to enjoy the food court that opens at 5:30 PM, highlighting different cuisine from the finest area restaurants.
-The Dynamic Les DeMerle 8-Piece Band, featuring vocalist Bonnie Eisele
-Additional welcomed guests include Doug Matthews on the piano and Al Waters on tenor sax in a tribute to Ray Charles.

– Swing, Swing, Swing, The Amelia Island Jazz Festival All-Stars featuring Dr. Bill Prince, multi-instrumentalist; Jamie Ousley, bass; Michael Levine, piano; Les DeMerle, Drums; and the beautiful Bonnie Eisele on vocals.
– Harry Allen Quintet, world-renowned tenor saxophone virtuoso swings, shouts & whispers with special guest Saxophonist, Jeff Rupert.
– 19-Piece US Navy Big Band Southeast, playing traditional Big Band jazz at its best in the style of Ellington, Basie, Goodman & James.

Sunday, October 12, 2008: Noon to 3:00 PM is the Dixieland Jazz Brunch at the Beech Street Grill, located at Beech and 8th Streets in Fernandina. Ticket prices, to be announced, will include the remarkable “Beech Street Grill Special Jazz Festival Menu” and a cash bar will be available.
Entertainment provided by, The Spare-Rib Six with Bonnie Eisele on vocals.
