Cats Angels is holding a special fund raiser that allows participants to see one of the most unique Victorian homes in historic downtown Fernandina. The Bailey House stands grand with whimsical, carousel horses adorning the wraparound porch.
Kate Bailey, the original owner, is credited with saving the beautiful oak tree on the corner of Ash and 8th by guarding it from the city authorities with her shot gun! Now owned by Barbara and George Sheffield, the home will be open for a guided tour of the lovely vintage interior and furnishings on Saturday, August 25th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
The cost is $15.00 per adult (children under 18 are free) and includes gourmet cookies, recipes, and lemonade on the path near the beautiful garden after the tour. Please note that the house does not have handicap accommodation.
Cats Angels will receive 100% of the proceeds!
Tickets are available at the Cats Angels Thrift Store located at 709 S. 8th Street and open Monday thru Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or through Paypal at www.catsangels.com (use the donate button and bring your printed receipt) or at the event or you may contact Jan Cote-Merow 583-2870 for delivery.
