Basic Sewing Class with Christy WoodsInstructor Christy Woods will be teaching Basic Sewing Class on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

In this class, students bring their own portable sewing machines and materials and learn how to make tote bags, using a pattern.

This 6 week class begins on January 16th and will be held on January 23rd and 30th; February 13th, 20th, and 27th for only $60.00 per student.

Christy Woods, has a bachelor’s degree from FSU in Interiors and Textiles. She taught home economics in adult education and city extension services and has a local custom drapery/slipcover business, Creative Distinctions. She is also a member of the Island Art Association.

Christy is offering this very low cost course out of a conviction that in the current economic climate with home economics no longer being taught in public schools, there are many folks out there who want to learn to “do it themselves.”

You will have fun while learning in this very interactive class that is limited to 10 students.
