Best Friends Seeks State AccreditationFernandina Beach, FL – Best Friends Companion Care, a state licensed homemaker/companion business for seniors and other adults, has recently filed for accreditation to become a full-fledged, state licensed home health care agency.

Jamie Deonas, CEO of the Fernandina based business, says this is a definite need in Florida. “We started the company as a way to care for our senior citizens and help improve their quality of life,” says Deonas. “This new license will allow our clients the luxury and convenience of receiving skilled medical care in the comfort of their own home.”

Best Friends is currently licensed to provide companion services in Nassau, Duval, Clay, Baker, and St Johns counties. After the 12-month accreditation and licensing process, Best Friends will be able to offer home health services such as wound care management, specialized nursing, and physical and occupational therapy. Best Friends is expected to be a fully operational home health care agency by the Spring of 2013.
