Rendezvous Festival

Join Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Directors as we celebrate the launch of the Rendezvous Festival with a ribbon cutting on the ocean lawn at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and jazz while learning more about this new film, music and gaming festival commemorating the important history and cultural contributions of the famous Evan’s Rendezvous nightclub at American Beach. The nine-day festival will debut in June 2015 and highlight the entire island with screenings at Main Beach, American Beach, downtown Fernandina Beach and other locations. Yulee Area Council

In August, our speaker will be Curt LoGiudice, executive director of The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary. Find out about the fascinating work this Chamber member is doing to rescue big cats and to educate the public about the plight of these endangered animals in the wild and captivity.

Vida Fitness, 48 Osprey Village Dr., Fernandina Beach

Join Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Directors as we celebrate Vida Fitness’ new location in Osprey Village!

Vida Fitness has been serving Amelia Island for more than eight years. It has moved to a new fitness center where it is now open to provide one-on-one certified personal training, group training, private Pilates and yoga instruction and nutritional counseling. Vida Fitness caters to all fitness levels and age groups.

The ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Come meet owner Sean Keith and his staff and learn more about Vida Fitness’ mission to help everyone lead a stronger, healthier life.

Government Affairs Committee

The AIFBY Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee works to increase awareness of regulatory and legislative issues affecting the local business community.

The committee meets at 8:30 a.m. the third Wednesday of the month at the Chamber to discuss issues and to recommend formal policy stances for adoption by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Business After Hours

Join us at the Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours, sponsored in August by the Barnabas Center.

Wrap up your work day by making connections with local business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying great food, drinks and door prizes at Nassau County’s largest monthly business gathering.

Barnabas Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides qualifying residents of Nassau County with assistance during a crisis. This assistance includes food, subsidies that cover rent and utilities and vouchers to our New to You Resale Store for clothing and household goods. The Barnabas Samaritan Clinic is a free, urgent care medical clinic, where uninsured patients can receive prompt care. The Barnabas Dental Clinic is a low-cost clinic offered to those who are low-income and uninsured.

The Barnabas Center is located on Jasmine Street, between South 13th and 14th streets. Admission to Business After Hours is $5 for AIFBY Chamber members, $25 for nonmembers.

The AIFBY Health Care Council works to raise awareness of health-care services available in Nassau County and develop contacts among local health-related professionals.

The Health Care Council in August will be hosted by Savannah Grand of Amelia Island. The entrance to Savannah Grand is immediately east of the Residence Inn Amelia Island on Sadler Road. Savannah Grand is located at the end of Amelia Trace Court.
