Passion and compassion are the two sentiments that make life on earth worthwhile, no matter how long or short.
The tough as nails judge of American Idol, Simon Cowell, has shown another side of himself. Of course Simon is no longer an Idol judge as he is moving on to other challenges but a five year old girl in the UK who was dying of a brain tumor had a request that involved singing for him.
Bethany Fenton, lost her battle with a brain cancer, but not before being granted her wish to visit the Britain’s Got Talent , and sing to Cowell . She was quoted as saying that Simon let her sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for him, and she loved him. It is reported that Simon was truly shaken by her death.
You know, it really doesn’t matter who you are, what you have or how important you may think you are. In the end most of us have the same feelings and there are those moments that make us aware that we are mostly alike.
I have always had a positive attitude about everything in life. I would tell friends who would complain about every thing under the sun, to take a short trip to the children’s hospital in Jacksonville. Visit the cancer floor, say nothing, just observe. Then come back and tell me how big your problems are. Thanks Simon, one little angel left this world with a smile.
