On the second Saturday of every month, Amelia Island offers a fun art crawl called the Artrageous Artwalk. February’s Walk will be on the 12th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. These are free to the public and include 12 of Amelia Island’s incredible art galleries that showcase local artists and their wide array of fine art, including photography, pottery, copper, metal, stained glass, watercolors, oils, acrylics and mixed media. Visitors have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists behind the work.This month, try starting at the Blue Door Artists, located at 205 1/2 Centre Street between between Second and Third Streets in historic Fernandina Beach. The Blue Door Artists houses the 9 working studios of artists who also display their work that you can view as you enjoy touring their studios.
New paintings by Elizabeth Dion will be featured this month. Come by and see colorful abstract landscapes along with new additions to her series of small paintings, Sea Glyphs and Dragonflies. You can also visit Elizabeth’s website at www.lizdion.com.
