Free Admission to Florida State Parks

Fort Clinch State Park

Governor Charlie Crist recently signed a proclamation declaring July Recreation Parks Month in Florida. On Saturday, July 17, there will be free admission to all Florida State Parks including Fort Clinch on our very own island. If you want to travel a little, a free day at the parks means free admission to go snorkeling or tubing at Ichetucknee Springs State Park, as well as many other wonderful parks in our beautiful state.

Pack a picnic and your swimsuit and take advantage of this offer by the Florida Parks Service of free admission on Saturday. If you decide to choose Fort Clinch on Saturday (and save a $6.00 admission fee), there is an Interactive Beach Walk from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. that you can participate in. All ages are welcome and the program is free with entrance to the park. The walk begins at the fort parking area.
