Jazz Festival to Award Scholarship
The Amelia Island Jazz Festival Board of Directors has decided to award a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship is to be awarded to an outstanding high school graduate who has been accepted by an accredited college. Candidates are expected to be working toward a major or minor in music, preferably in the field of jazz performance or related area. Following this year’s Jazz Festival, which will be held Oct. 5th through 12th, applications will be available at the festival’s website, www.ameliaislandjazzfestival.com.
