FSCJ to Host Blocktoberfest 2019

FSCJ

FSCJ invites you to a Blocktoberfest printing extravaganza.

Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) invites you to the ninth annual Blocktoberfest printing extravaganza, October 23-25, 2019.

Blocktoberfest is a printmaking event that features the production of large-scale block prints using a steamroller for the printing process. Students and faculty from FSCJ and the University of North Florida (UNF) will collaborate to ink and print the woodcuts.

This year, FSCJ will be exhibiting prints from the campus fine art printmaking press called Trident Editions, selected student works from FSCJ and UNF, as well as prints from UNF graduate and master printer James Allan. James was an assistant at FSCJ and PrintStudioJax and has his own fine art press in Corpus Christi, Texas. James will also be demonstrating woodcut techniques, producing an edition with Trident and participating in the printing of student blocks.

All events will be held at Florida State College at Jacksonville’s South Campus. See event description for specific location.
