Gypsy has been one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history since its introduction in 1959 featuring music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
Directed by Mary Williams, with choreography by Meredith Burkhart, Carey Dresser, and Rachel Tyler, this musical is loosely based on the life of famous vaudeville/burlesque star, Gypsy Rose Lee and her mother, Rose. Gypsy follows the hopes and dreams of Rose, the ultimate stage mother, as she raises her daughters to become vaudeville stars.
