Tracy Nazzaro will speak about the services available at the new Small Business Development Center at UNF Nassau County office during the June meeting of the Chamber’s Island Council.

The Yulee Area Council meets at 8:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month to network and discuss issues of interest to the Yulee business community.

Network with up to 150 Chamber members at Business After Hours, Nassau County’s biggest monthly business gathering, sponsored in June by the Ocean Club of Amelia.

Located next to Seaside Park in Fernandina Beach, the Ocean Club of Amelia offers the perfect setting for all of your special festivities. The coastal cottage atmosphere is perfect for a wedding, reception or company event.

There will be great food and drinks, door prizes and, of course, a chance to meet other local business people and make contacts that can help generate referrals for your business.

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee works to increase awareness of regulatory and legislative issues affecting AIFBY Chamber members by encouraging input and participation in local committees and boards.

The GAC meets the last Wednesday of the month to discuss issues and to recommend formal policy stances for adoption by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Using Social Media to Promote Your Business

The Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce’s “Build a Better Business” education series continues with “Using Social Media to Promote Your Business,” presented by Kim Deppe, president of Deppe Communications.

Using social media can increase traffic to your website, generating leads for your business at a 60% cost lower than traditional outbound marketing methods like call centers. Many businesses are experiencing increases in sales and leads through their blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media efforts.
