Coconut Chicken Balls

A Savory Place Cookbook

Football season is officially just around the corner and what better way to get the season off to a great start than to serve a spectacular appetizer, Coconut Chicken Balls!

Micah’s Place is the only Certified Domestic Violence Center in Nassau County, Florida, and one of their fundraisers is a popular cookbook, loaded with local recipes called A Savory Place.

Browsing through the fabulous recipes, from appetizers to desserts and everything in between, I found a tasty treat that is perfect to prepare whether you are tailgating, going to a party or hosting the party at your home. Try Coconut Chicken Balls at your next football outing.

8 Ounces of softened cream cheese
1 Cup of cooked chicken, finely chopped
1 Cup finely ground slivered almonds
2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon curry powder
2 to 3 Tablespoons chopped chutney
1/2 Teaspoon Lawry’s seasons salt
Grated coconut

Combine all of the ingredients, except the coconut, in a bowl and mix well.
Chill, covered, in the refrigerator.
Shape into small balls and roll in the coconut.
Chill until serving time.
Arrange on a serving plate with wooden picks for serving.
Makes about 3 dozen.

To help fight domestic violence, you can pick up a copy of the cookbook HERE for only $24.95.
