An organization that is committed to preserve conservation to species that need it the most right in our backyard.

It’s no secret that the EABC is an international minded club and we are especially proud to have a global Wildlife Conservation group in our area. Granted, freely roaming giraffes, okapi, and rhynos are a bit farfetched for the NE Florida/Georgia border, but, just think the importance of the work the White Oak Plantation provides to keep these and other endangered species thriving.

We are really curious of where the idea came from to get this sort of a sanctuary going so far from Africa, let alone in this unlikely corner of the world. So yes, we are really looking forward to the presentation of Brandy Carvalho who works for White Oak Conservation as the Development Officer. This is her second “round” at White Oak. In her current role she works to engage the community in the conservation message and will also be able to give us some insight on the economical impact on the local market from this global organization.

Join us at the next EABC meeting Tuesday, November 4th and get the details about the history of this little known paradise in our area. Meet Brandy and also mingle among people with local and international backgrounds and interests. You never know who you run into and many friendship as well as business relationships started at one of our meeting at the Amelia River Golf Club.

The EABC usually meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Amelia River Golf Club (4477 Buccaneer Trail – Amelia Island, FL 32034). We have to charge $12 admission so we can pay the bills. But the food is included in the cost and is prepared by the club’s chef. There is an open bar serving some of the best wines and liquor and beers. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are also available.

Everyone is invited to our meetings so bring your friends and guest for this fun filled evening of excitement, fellowship and yes, even gain some valuable business connections at the same time.
