Letter to Downtown Fernandina Businesses

A portion of Centre Street will be closed on March 11th for the Passport Transport Road Tour in Fernandina Beach.

Preparing Fernandina for the Concours d'Elegance“Dear Downtown Businesses,

The 16th Annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is just around the corner and one of the Concours’ big events is Passport Transport Road Tour, which is set for Friday, March 11, 2011, and it will conclude in historic downtown Fernandina Beach.

As in the years past, the City has again granted us permission to close Centre Street from 4th Street to Front Street between 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to park road tour vehicles for public display and an entrant luncheon at The Palace Saloon. In order to prepare for the arrival of these vehicles, parking spaces on Centre Street between 4th and Front will be blocked off at 5:30 a.m. on Friday. All of the cross street will remain open and they will have no restrictions.

Our sincere thanks to all of the downtown businesses for their support of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. Your cooperation and support has helped to turn the Amelia into one of the top automotive events in the world.

Regards,
Marsha Joyner
