Micah's Place Recognizes Elaine Coats as Past Board PresidentNassau County, FL – Sandy Shaw, President of Micah’s Place, presents a recognition award to Elaine Coats for her exceptional service as Board President from January through December 2011. The Board of Directors and the Staff thanked Ms. Coats for her dedication to Micah’s Place and her commitment to ending domestic violence in Nassau County. Ms. Coats continues to serve on Micah’s Place Board as Past President and Member at Large.

Micah’s Place is a Certified Domestic Violence Center and the only one serving Nassau County, Florida. The mission is to provide prevention and intervention services to victims of domestic violence and to provide education within the community to affect change in behavior and attitudes relating to domestic violence. Micah’s Place offers safe, confidential shelter, advocacy, a 24-hour toll-free hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups to victims of domestic violence. All services are free and confidential.
