May is National Military Appreciation Month, a time to think about the sacrifices made by our military and their families.
The month of May is National Military Appreciation Month, a time for us all to think about the sacrifices made by our military and their families. This year more than any other, our service men and women need to know all of us appreciate their role in protecting and defending our nation’s freedom – during times of peace and especially in times of war.
National Military Appreciation Month includes VE Day, Military Spouse Day, Loyalty Day, Armed Forces Day, National Day of Prayer and Memorial Day. It doesn’t take much time to become involved. You can show your appreciation by helping Shauna collect 1.4 million cards and letters at www.amillionthanks.org and by displaying the American Flag on your home, car, or business from May 1 to Flag Day June 14.
For more information on how you can participate and show your appreciation, go to www.NMAM.org.
