Come see the giant shrimp that drops at 7:00 p.m. to ring in a new year.
It is time for the New Years Eve Shrimp Drop to welcome in 2020 on Amelia Island. Where else would you find a New Year’s Eve family celebration that drops a giant shrimp at 7:00 p.m. than in Fernandina Beach, the “Birthplace of the Modern Shrimping Industry”?
This outdoor event will be chilly, so bundle up and bring the entire family to the waterfront in historic Fernandina. Festivities are arranged from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and include live music, laser shows, a kids’ zone with bounce house, food, and commercial vendors. The Shrimp will drop at 7:00, followed immediately by fireworks.
