Online Updates Southwest Schedules and Toyota Recalls

In a perfect example of how to use social media online, southwest gives customer update on approaching winterstorm schedule effects and Toyota uses customer generated question and answer video to inform about the recall.

Southwest Airlines Schedule Update

In a smart move of using the online social media network to service customers, Southwest Airlines just posted a message on SearchAmelia’s Facebook page regarding potential travel delays and cancellations as a result of the next storm system hitting the central midwest states tomorrow.

The message reads: Attention MDW-Chicago Midway, CLE – Cleveland, DTW – Detroit, IND – Indianapolis , SDF – Louisville and MKE – Milwaukee travelers

We are monitoring another weather system that has developed in the Central Plains. Based on the storm’s path and the forecasted winter conditions, there is a possibility that our scheduled service to/from these Stations could be disrupted (delayed, diverted, and/or cancelled) over the next few days.
