Painting with Paper Workshop

The Amelia Island Artist Workshop presents a return engagement of Elizabeth St. Hilliare Nelson, October 8-10, 2010, in historic Fernandina Beach.

Nelson was recently a first place winner in the online Artists Magazine Competition and is back for her second year to do a workshop on Amelia Island.

The Painting with Paper Workshop was last year’s inaugural workshop for the Amelia Island Artists Workshop classes.

In this three day workshop she will cover hand-painting and hand-staining papers for collage. She will offer instruction on the best materials to use for ground and how to glue and varnish to make your collages archival.

She is a renown artist and will help students with elements of design, composition and color as well as specific things like “directional ripping” and paper choice.

This is a FUN workshop with a sophisticated, but entertaining teacher. By registering by September 10 you can save yourself an additional $25.00 in an “Early Bird Discount”. After that date the fee will be $325 for the three day workshop.

Contact Mikolean Longacre at 904-415-3900 or Amelia SanJon Gallery at 904-491-8040 for registration or further information about the workshop. Also go to the website www.ameliaislandartistsworkshop.com to register and to see more work by this artist.
