Play Petanque at the Stars and Stripes Freedom Festival

petanque1Petanque America, a company that recently moved to Amelia Island, Florida, will have games and demonstrations at the Stars and Stripes Freedom Festival on July 4th.

Petanque (pronounced “pay-tahnk”) is a cousin to games like horseshoes, bocce and shuffleboard that you can play almost anywhere. Age and strength are irrelevant. All you need is a bit of concentration and a consistent swing of your arm. The public is welcome to try out this wildly popular European game on the east side of the parking area at Central Park on Atlantic Avenue.

To learn more about this game, visit the Petanque America Web site.
