Rain was no problem for the first of four 2010 Amelia Island SunSplash concerts. For a first time affair, the day was exceptional. The vendors, sponsors and attendees I spoke with thought the Seaside Park activites were long overdue.Pipeline Surf Shop, Sliders Seaside Grille, Caribbean Breeze, the City of Fernandina Beach and many other businesses sponsored this FREE reggae concert and beach side activities that included a fashion show, beach volleyball, a sandcastle contest and a Keep Nassau Beautiful beach cleanup.
If you did not make it to the beach, take a look at the video. But, I will go ahead and let you know the band Jah Creation was fantastic and the final display of 1700s beachwear by the Fernandina Pirates Club, was… well, laugh-out-loud funny!
