One spectacular lot is a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster originally owned by Natalie Wood. Mercedes hit this one “out of the park” with the car’s performance and looks. Restored by 300 SL specialist Rudi Koniczek, this car will be on the auction block and is expected to sell for $1,400,000 to $1,750,000.
Another highlight is a selection of 16 motor cars offered from the esteemed Collection of the late Malcom S. Pray Jr.; Mr. Pray owned the largest complex of automobile dealerships in the Town of Greenwich, which he built from 1955 until 1999.
The jewel of the collection is undoubtedly the 1937 Delahaye 135 Competition Court Torpedo Roadster affectionately nick-named “Malcom’s French Mistress”. The expected value of this remarkable automobile is only available from RM Auctions upon request.
Held in association with the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, collectors from across the world meet at the oceanside Ritz Carlton Amelia Island for its 16th annual Florida auction to celebrate the automobile.
The auction is free to attend; bidder registration is $200.00 and includes admission for two to the preview, reception and auction. Bidding requirements include a driver’s license or passport ID, your bank’s Letter of Guarantee, and a copy of your resale certificate if you are an automobile dealership.
