Council on Aging's charity golf tournament was postponed due to Tropical Storm Beryl and has been rescheduled for June 15th.
WHEN: Friday, June 15, 2012, reigstration will be open from 8:00 – 9:30 AM.
WHERE: Omni Plantation and Resorts Ocean Links course
WHAT: This charity golf tournament begins at 10:00 AM with a shotgun start and includes a boxed lunch.
A Field of Honor commemorates the valuable service of veterans, past and present and will greet the golfers as they enter the sign-in area. The spirit of Memorial Day will continue as the signs and American flags remain on display though out the day,
Jeff McDowell, Community Relations Specialist for the COA said, “Besides the Field of Honor, our golfers will enjoy a hole-in-one contest, sponsored by Ron Anderson Chevrolet Buick, a putting contest and numerous raffle and winner’s prizes. Everyone who takes part will have a great time, I guarantee it!”
Golf foursomes for this tournament are still available, but golfers need to visit the COA website at www.coanassau.com or visit our Senior Center at 1367 South 18th street (across from the Baptist Medical Center) to register.
WHY: To support the The Council on Aging of Nassau, a 501 (c) (3) not for profit corporation actively involved in the Celebration of Agelessness in the Nassau County, Services include Senior Centers- Eastside & Westside, COA Transportation, Meals on Wheels, and On-site nutrition, In-Home Services, Adult Day Healthcare and more.
COST: Entry cost is $500 for a team of four and $125 for individuals. This includes green fees, carts, range balls, cart baggie, lunch & awards.
