EFFECTIVE FOR SHRIMP FESTIVAL: The following street and parking lot closures will be effective for Shrimp Festival in order to set up for the festival. City Waterfront Parking Lot B will be closed from Midnight, Wednesday, April 28th until midnight, Sunday, May 2nd. City Waterfront Parking Lots A, C, and D and the Library Parking Lot will be closed to unauthorized vehicles from midnight, Thursday, April 29th until Midnight, Sunday, May 2nd. Beginning at 5:00 PM Friday, April 30, vehicles must be removed and there will be NO PARKING on the streets and public parking lots of the downtown Centre Street Business District (bordered by Ash St. and Alachua St. from 8th Street to the Waterfront.). This area will remain closed to parking until Midnight, Sunday, May 2nd, in order to finish clean up and street sweeping.

Signs will be posted throughout the downtown area and unauthorized cars will be towed.

Also EFFECTIVE SHRIMP FESTIVAL WEEKEND (April 30, May 1 & 2, 2010): The use of “Silly String” type propellants, “Poppers”, and high-powered water guns is prohibited within the Centre Street Business District (bordered by Ash St. and Alachua St. from 8th Street to the Waterfront.) during the weekend of Shrimp Festival, per City Ordinance No. 99-03.
