It is time for Sounds on Center and with the extended 4th of July weekend, this should be one fantastic party in the street! Dance in the street in downtown, historic Fernandina Beach from 6:00 to 8:00 pm to live music provided by Island Vibe.
Island Vibe is a five piece music group featuring three distinctive lead vocalists and 3-5 part harmonies. Their diverse music repertoire covers tunes from the 1920’s to current hits. You’ll hear songs like the timeless classics from Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Dolly Parton, Ray Charles, and Andy Williams. Enjoy dancing to songs by Bob Seger, the Moody Blues, Billy Joel, Leeanne Womack, and Jason Mraz.
The band has been a long time in the making because of individual time constraints, but finally started coming together in the fall of last year. The Members are well known in the local community of Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach and Yulee, with combined stage experience of well over 100 years as musician artists. The joke is that the band’s initial name was suggested as Four Old Guys and a Blond Chick (FOGBC).
Band members include Ronnie Stoots, Han Ramakers, Kim Crutchfield, Loren Lum and Philip Boets… I think everyone in town knows at least on of these great folks. LOL
Expect some vocal harmony magic.
