Athena Grace is a very shy rescue, and needs a quiet home where she can feel safe.
Mama dog, Athena Grace, is a very special dog that can be seen at the Nassau County animal facility; she is currently waiting to be spayed and she is heartworm negative!!!
She weighs about 30 pounds, and is approximately three years young and has a Brindle coat. She is very shy and needs a quiet home where she can feel safe. She had her puppies in the woods and foraged for food until a nice couple began feeding her each night. She would not let anyone too close to her, so she had to be trapped. One of her puppies has been transferred to the Jacksonville Humane Society, and another one of her pups has shown up in the woods and they are trying to trap it.
She is soooo sweet, but so scared. She will need a loving home. The best situation would be her placement in a furever home that doesn’t make her an outdoor dog. She is playful in her kennel area, but when she is put outside she starts to shake.
If you know anyone who has a big heart that would be interested in Athena Grace, please send them to the County’s Animal Shelter.
