The fine City of Fernandina Beach is hosting a Hazardous Waste Clean-up and Recycle Event on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Bring your items to the City Maintenance/Utility Yard at 1017 S. 5th Street in Fernandina from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.

The following items may be disposed/recycled:
Glass or Plastic Bottles
Propane Tanks
Steel or Aluminum Cans
Paper Cardboard
Tires (4 per household)
Electronics Appliances
Automotive Fluids
Oil Filters
Scrap Metal
Paint
Paint Thinners
Corrosives
Hazardous Chemicals Pesticides
Fertilizers
Fluorescent Bulbs
Automotive or Household Batteries
Household Cleaners
Over the Counter Medications

FREE PINE MULCH CHIPS will be given away, courtesy of Rayonier for residential use only, while supplies last and there will be paper shredding services on-site, too.

Residents may also dispose of household hazardous waste at the Home Depot parking lot in Yulee from 9am-2pm on the same day!

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Keep Nassau Beautiful will be on-site collecting:
Aerosols
Antifreeze
Batteries
Fluorescent Bulbs
Corrosives
Diesel & Gasoline
Household Cleaners
Electronics
Pesticides
Medications
Paint Thinners
Pool Chemicals
Flares
Propane Tanks
Fertilizers
Used Oil & Filters
Paint
