Spring Fling Exhibition and ReceptionMouth of Amelia invites you to The Spring Fling exhibition and reception presented by Plantation Artists’ Guild and Gallery on Friday, May 18, 2012, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.

WHERE: The Plantation Artists’ Guild & Gallery, located in the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Spa & Shops at 94 Amelia Village Circle, Amelia Island, Florida.

WHAT: An open house, The Spring Fling, at the Plantation Artists’ Guild & Gallery will feature a fresh, new exhibit of art by Plantation artists. The Gallery also welcomes special artist of the month, David Marshall. Osprey Village will co-sponsor the show at the Gallery and offer wine, soft drinks and hors d’oeuvres’.

WHO: David Marshall is a North Florida artist whose body of work spans sixty years and includes a range of media from pen and ink to metal sculpture. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in advertising and a minor in art. He is best known for his current work with assemblages and welded steel creations made with found objects. His most recent emphasis has been on folk art masks that combine traditional aboriginal themes with his own interpretation and execution.

COST: There is no charge for the exhibit and reception and the public is invited.
