Sunday Events at the 2012 Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp FestivalSunday, May 6, 2012 is the final day of the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival and there is one more day of exciting events, activities and entertainment!

Here is Sunday’s Program:

    -Dozens of food booths offer a variety of seafood and other delicacies throughout the festival area including the Riverfront Food Court and every intersection along Centre Street.
    -Fine Arts & Crafts Show featuring 300 Juried Fine Artists and Craftsmen. Find them along Centre Street, North and South 2nd, North and South 3rd, North 4th Streets.
    -Antiques & Collectibles Show is located on South 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Streets.
    -Kids Fun Zone featuring Games, Face Painting, Sand Art, Rock-Climbing Wall, Food Court, free Publix Kids Craft Corner, Bungee Fun, Pony Rides, Caricatures, Live Entertainment and more located at the parking lot between North 3rd Street and North 4th Street.
    -Nassau County Public & Private Schools Art Display on North 4th Street in front of the library building.
    -Riverfront Stage Entertainment & Sponsor Activities at the Foot of Centre Street in the South parking lot and 2nd and Centre Streets.
    -Live Marine Sea Circus & Shrimp Aquarium Display sponsored by the University of Georgia Marine Extension Service is located at the foot of Centre Street at the Amelia River.
    -Blood Alliance Bloodmobile and the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs Mobile Vet Center can be found at North 6th Street

1:00pm Blessing Of The Fleet and the Best Decorated Shrimp Boats & Other Watercraft Parade & Contest


8:30am Fine Arts & Crafts Recognition Ceremony
11:00am Billy Buchanan & Free Avenue
1:00pm Blessing of the Fleet & Decorated Boat Parade
2:00pm Best Adult Pirate Contest on the Pirate Ship Stage, sponsored by SearchAmelia.
2:30pm The Swingin’ Medallions


10:00am – 5:00pm Rick Hubbard’s Kazoobie Show (30-minute shows throughout the day) and JuggleSTUFF (15-minute shows throughout the day)
11:00am Pak’s Karate Academy
12:00pm Learn to be a Pirate with the Fernandina Pirates Club
3:00pm Learn to be a Pirate with the Fernandina Pirates Club
5:00pm End of Daily Stage Entertainment
