Talk Like a Pirate Activities in Fernandina Beach

Local Pirate, Siren, is Ready for the Event

Since the early 1970’s the Fernandina Pirates Club, Inc, located on Amelia Island, Florida, has been pillaging, plundering and entertaining tourists and locals alike with pirate lore, local history and fun events for the entire family.

Among the many activities these pirates attend, this all volunteer, non-profit organization, also promotes the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival, attends Joy to the Children on Christmas Day and are official Ambassadors to both Amelia Island and Nassau County, Florida.

On Sunday, September 18th, the pirates will set up camp in the Pocket Park located on Centre Street from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Yes, our sleepy little Victorian village on the waterfront will come alive with a pirate scavenger hunt, a Pirate School for the kids, a weapons display, strolling minstrels and more, all to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day!
