The Amelia Island Museum of History is happy to announce the opening of the Volunteer History Garden on Saturday from 4 to 6 PM.
Have you ever heard of a Toothache Tree or wondered what Indigo looks like? The Volunteer History Garden will contain historically relevant trees and plants as well as region specific flora and is named in honor of the many volunteers who have dedicated their time and talents.
To celebrate we will be enjoying music provided by the Amelia Arts Academy, light hors d’oeuvres, and a special presentation by Jim Loper of Reflections of Nature.
In addition, for each donation of $100, a small plaque will be placed in the garden in memory, in honor or just in thanksgiving of your special loved one. If you are interested in making a donation or have any questions about this project, please contact Liz at 261.7378 x.100 or by email, firstname.lastname@example.org. This event is free and open to the public.
