The deadline in Nassau County, Florida, to register to vote or change party affiliates for the upcoming election is July 16, 2012.

Voter Registration and Changes Must be Done by July 16, 2012Nassau County, FL – Monday, July 16, 2012 is the deadline to register to vote or change political party affiliation for those who want to cast a ballot in the August 14, 2012 Primary Election.

Persons can register to vote or change their political party affiliation by completing a Florida Voter Registration Application. Applications are available:

• Online: Visit and complete, print and sign the online application.
• In Person: At both Elections Office locations, Florida Driver’s License Offices, public libraries or other registration agencies. Visit for a complete list of registration agencies.

New registrations and party changes must be delivered or postmarked on or before July 16, 2012 to be eligible for the Primary Election to be held on August 14, 2012.

All currently registered voters have recently been mailed new voter information cards reflecting the information contained in their voter registration record, their polling place location and information to contact the Elections Office if any corrections are needed. As there are many campaign mailings going out at this time, voters should be on the lookout for this important information.

Additionally, sample ballots specific to the voter’s legal residence and party affiliation contained in their record will be mailed approximately one week prior to the start of early voting on August 4, 2012. Voters are entitled to vote on all races appearing on their sample ballot. Election information, including Vote by Mail (Absentee) Ballots, early voting and Election Day voting, is also included for reference.

It is easy for voters to review and update information in their voter record, view their specific sample ballot, request a mail ballot, track the status of their ballot, locate their polling place or review their voting activity. Visit and select My Voter Information.
