Little did I know that while speaking before a group of Rotarians back in the mid 90's, I would meet a smiling person in the audience who would change my life forever-that person was Deb Cottle (World On A String) . Deb talks the talk, but more important-she walks the walk. She reminds me of another favorite motivator, Zig Ziglar, who teaches us how to think positive, act positive and then receive the benefits of our actions. For those of you who have not been blessed by Deb's powerful messages and her healthy approaches to living life to its fullest, you are missing out. Our “little town” is very lucky to have Deb's talents and community spirit.
I'm very sorry to have missed that event. I think it was one of those evenings that our team had more events on our plates than we could handle and I was filming an event for Micah's Place. Would love to know if another event like this is planned any time soon?
I DID attend the event, didn't you see my “mug” in the slideshow? LOL
Deb's event attracted an impressive room of guests. Her musician, Rubyanna was delightful. Her sincere smile, her graciousness for Deb and her raw talent still gives me chills. Guest speaker, Dawn Grant, was entertaining and the exercise at the end of her talk was classic. Her descripitive suggestions proved how influential our thoughts can truly be… over our mind, our will and our physical reactions.
Deb Cottle was outstanding as a professional speaker and really engaged the audience with her use of humor. Her personal testimony regarding Rubyanna and how to find things in the places you wouldn't expect, gave people hope to find their own buried treasure.
If she does another local event, you don't want to miss it!!!
Of course I saw your mug shot. I also think Caroline did a very nice job putting the slide show together. Just wished I had given the other assignment on that evening to someone else in our crew. So that's why I am hoping for an Encore Performance.
