Come join the European American Business Club for the May meeting and get some insight into what drove Dave Scott to his madcap madness.
Dave Scott, who writes the weekly davescottblog.com based on his “musings, opinions, observations, questions and random thoughts on island life, Fernandina Beach and more”, is the guest speaker for May at the European American Business Club.
He also is the creator and only writer of the satirical tabloid print newspaper, The Amelia Island News-Wrecker. He decided on a whim to produce the satirical tabloid paper as a one-off project in the spring of 2015 but it proved to be so popular with readers and advertisers that he received numerous requests for a second publication, which will be printed this spring, in time for the Amelia Island Shrimp Festival.
According to Scott the only people that have complained to him about the content of the first News-Wrecker were the ones that weren’t mentioned in it.
